Thank you ECU Health for sharing this very sweet example of how the Kart 4 Kids can help build connections between patients and caregivers."Many bright moments occur daily with the Kart 4 Kids, but my favorite involves a newer patient - very very shy and nervous in the medical setting. We have progressed from very limited conversation, minimal eye contact all the way to the patient asking for me upon arrival, sharing jokes, milestones, family photos, and more! Building rapport with this patient would have been much slower, if at all possible, without the Kart. It is the perfect icebreaker and visible signal to this young patient that I am a safe space for the whole family while they are here under our care. Thank you so much for all you do!" ...
